Hermann's Drehscheiben, also known as Hermann Walschebauer, has a new turntable on offer that can be used on small layouts and shunting dioramas, such as smaller engine sheds or industrial sites. The turntable is electrically driven and controlled by a supplied panel, with which both the direction of rotation and the speed can be selected.
The surface of the disc is covered with supported lime wood and the rails are supplied by internal cables. A geared motor allows for very slow travel to control the descents. Locking bolts and rail chairs are sufficiently included to realise multiple descents. A load test of 10 kg was successfully carried out.
The 300 mm turntable is being offered for €460 excluding shipping costs. An equipped engine shed, as well as an emergency crank, gas cylinder, fire extinguisher, a compressor, and the figure of the turntable operator, can be ordered for an additional charge of €45.
