Claudio Pesolillo has provided us with images and a video from the production of the excellent hand-crafted model in Korea, which he personally oversaw on-site. The model of what was once the largest and most modern freight electric locomotive with Bianchi articulated drive was mainly to be found on the Brenner line during your service, but also on other Alpine routes.
For the first time in Europe, the model will be presented at the „Trifase 50“ (Three-phase 50) event, taking place on 23rd and 24th May in Acqui Terme, Italy. This will be hosted by the Italian FS Foundation and refers to the 50th anniversary of the end of three-phase electric traction. A link to this can be found below in the blue box.
The E.554 will also be on display at the Spur 1 exhibition in Ampflwang, Austria. We will be featuring it in detail in issue 37 of our magazine, accompanied by equally excellent photographs.
Here are the pictures, all of which were taken by Claudio Pesolillo.
