Over time, our archive has accumulated numerous images featuring typical warning and informational signs found at or around railway facilities. Some are widely distributed standards, while others are rare, even unique specimens. Unfortunately, very few of these are available as ready-made models or kits in 1:32 scale. Thus, this became our next candidate for a subscription bonus.
Depending on the quality of the original, the signs were processed differently for small-scale reproduction. This proved to be more complex than initially anticipated. What could not be reproduced as a photograph was recreated using graphic design or layout software – including all of its typographical flaws and other peculiarities. We did not want to omit these individual characteristics, as they contribute significantly to the realistic impression.
Twenty signs were fitted onto an A6 sheet – five designs, some in two sizes. Since rounded corners and the circular ones are not easy to cut out by hand, we pre-cut them with a laser. As with the advertising signs, there are precisely laser-cut Kraftplex tiles as a stable base.
This set is currently still being offered – as of June 2026. A further compilation with different warning signs, also from the immediate vicinity of railway facilities, will follow. They are already produced but still need to be supplied with instructions and packaged. We haven't given any thought to what comes after that.
