Faszination Spur 1
Small anniversary
Half a year has passed since our website went live. By the deadline, we had a total of 22,000 visitors and almost 72,000 page views, with a steady upward trend. We would like to thank all our readers for such a great response - we hadn't expected it ourselves.
This great interest is motivation enough to continue on our path, with up-to-date information from the scene, the industry and the editorial team, with special events and additions to articles from the printed magazine, etc. We will gradually realise further ideas and suggestions from our readers. Together with our presence on Facebook and Instagram as well as the weekly newsletter, our wide-ranging platform for everything to do with Track 1 will continue to flourish.
Our new Faszination Spur 1 magazine, issue 35, has just been delivered. As promised, modellers in particular will get their money's worth this time.

Route book of the German museum railways - 2026
The ideal companion for your visit to the museum railways in Germany
For many decades, the timetable book of German museum railways has been a handy companion for friends and visitors to the numerous museum railways. In our informative handbook you will find the timetable tables of the active associations that operate their lovingly restored train sets on their own lines, on private railway or DB tracks.

The diesel locomotives of the Wehrmacht
The V36 family was the all-round locomotive for the Federal and Reichsbahn. It was the branch line and small railway rescuer and the prototype of the modern works locomotive on the industrial sidings. In Germany, the V20/V36 is regarded as the first series-built diesel locomotive type with greater power. Internationally, it became the pioneer of diesel hydraulics. This EK book traces the fascinating history of the former Wehrmacht diesel locomotives with all their hitherto little-known facets.

The „secret“ of train formation
In the past, trains were formed at railway stations and carriages were removed or added. Class wagons were exchanged between different trains at stations and enabled travellers to travel without changing trains. The train formation plan provided information about the scheduled formation as well as the origins and destinations of the individual groups of carriages.
