Special editions of the 44 by BMB

After acquiring the remaining locomotives from the first production run, on the occasion of the then operational shutdown of Spur 01 Modellbahnen, Tom Steiner of BMB/Bee’s Modellbahnen had some locomotives converted into special editions. They not only received a new paint scheme but were also fitted with different lights and smoke deflectors. In a brief online portrait, we will show you two variants of each in pictures, which are available in the BMB online shop.

Today, these are the 44 002, in teal and fawn colours, which therefore harks back to the 56 2900 painted in these colours for the 1924 International Railway Engineering Exhibition in Seddin. The second is 44 124, which received a photographic livery based on original images.

We will be introducing the next four special models shortly. And now we wish you a relaxing weekend and a happy Pentecost.

We've colourised this black and white picture of the 44 124 in its photographic livery. It could easily be a factory photograph 😉.
