Refurbishment of 043 903-4
The second campaign comes from BMB/Bee's Modellbahn. In issue 34, we printed an appeal from the Emden association „Arbeitskreis zur Erhaltung der Denkmallok e.V.“ in the article „3 x 44s patinated by Becasse“. BMB was already involved at this point in the form of mediation.
In order to bring the association even closer to its goal of raising sufficient funds to refurbish the steam locomotive, a fundraising campaign is now underway. Bee's Modellbahn is auctioning off the original locomotive plate of the 043 903-4 - the locomotive that hauled the last steam locomotive train on the German Federal Railway - on eBay. The proceeds will go 100 per cent to the association and thus to the refurbishment of the locomotive.
