Märklin announced the production of the Henschel DH 500 CA locomotive on Facebook today. It is planned in five variants and will arrive as a new item in 2026. For our readers who are not on Facebook, we are providing the information mentioned here for free.

- DH 500 Ca RAG Era IV diesel locomotive (item 55501)
- Diesel locomotive DH 500 Ca OWE DH 63 Era IV (item 55504)
- Diesel locomotive DH 500 Ca (PTT) Era III (item 55505)
- DH 500 Ca E+H Era V diesel locomotive (item 55511)
The construction method:
- Numerous attached metal parts, including handle bars, windscreen wipers and bell
- Buffer planks with sprung buffers and attached brake lines
- Opening driver's cab doors with prototypical interior fittings and built-in train driver figure
The technology:
- Equipped with an mfx digital decoder and parameterisable current memory
- High-performance motor with drive on all axles
- Compatible with alternating current, direct current, Märklin Digital and DCC
- Equipped with remote-controlled Telex coupling at the front and rear as standard
Light and sound:
- Extensive sound functions for a realistic driving experience
- White LED headlights (3-light), alternating with red marker lights, digitally switchable
- Warm white cab lighting, also digitally switchable
