At the three or four major model building and model railway exhibitions held each year, 1-gauge has only been represented by a few exhibitors for a few years now, and these exhibitors vary from event to event. A decade ago, the picture was different; today, it is better to concentrate on the specific gauge 1 events. The companies that are still present from time to time report very differently on their experiences. The fact that the large gauge 1 models are an eye-catcher and attract visitors says nothing about the success of a trade fair participation.
For us as editors, it's generally not worth the long journey and the associated accommodation costs. This was also the case at the „Faszination Modellbau“, which took place last weekend. Especially as the Track 1 Days had taken place just two weeks earlier. The fact that companies represented there showed some models for the first time at the trade fair on Lake Constance is somewhat surprising ...
So far, we only have factory photos of these of varying quality, which we have compiled here. These are the Steiner Modellwerke workshop car, the 181.2 and the Wunder IC dining car. All vehicles are pre-production models.
